This item is all of the engineering notes that Mark Donohue kept of both the Porsche 917/10 and 917/30 (in Mark’s handwriting). It has all of the information of how to a tune a 917/10 and 917/30 motor, electrical systems values and testing procedures, engine specs normal operating parameters, chassis setup and tuning, gear box specs and setup, alloy welding, and EVERYTHING else Mark took specific notes on to maintain and tune both the 917/10 and 917/30. It has specific notation for individually serialized wheels, chassis’, gear boxes, motors, etc. It also has Mark’s notes for setup and results of each test session and race for both 1972, 1973, and the Cam2 record run in 1975. The original logbook came with the car 917/30-003 when Otis Chandler bought the car from Roger Penske. This copy was made from the original . It was the copy John Thomas had made for himself, and has part of a trade for the consignor model building services on several of his special model. It has the complete inventory list of all parts that were included in the sale to Jack Setton. Also photocopies of letters and receipts from Penske Racing, Andial, Goodyear (Carroll Shelby Enterprises), Bozzani Porsche-Audi, and more regarding maintenance, services performed, and parts used on 917/30-003. It has the paint information from Deft Chemicals on the paint ordered in 1977 for Otis Chandler (not the same as the reference standard I got from the Deft chemist).
