The Glockler Porsche at Montlhery 1951 stainless steel & bronze sculpture by Lawrence Braun, 1985

This beautiful sculpture cast in stainless steel and bronze captures in intricate detail the intimate relationship between man and automotive technology.

In this limited edition, American sculptor Lawrence Braun renders his recreation of the Glockler Porsche at the historic raceway in Montlhery, France, in September of 1951. Mister Braun blends his unique style in his representation of the Glockler Porsche and the men present at the record breaking endurance run. Observed by the iconic car and its pilot Walter Glockler are Dr. Ferry Porsche, Richard von Frankenberg, Huschke von Hanstein, Hermann Ramelow and Petermax Mueller pushing the car out of the pit.

The Glockler Porsche sculpture is mounted on a black lacquered hardwood base, signed by the artist and numbered 14 in an edition of 21. The piece measures 17” wide x 25” long x 13” high (with base) and is in A+ Condition.

Sculptor Larry Braun has focused most of his artwork in the past four decades on the world of motorsports.
